OrderBoost ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Shopify app. We operate in compliance with Shopify's Partner Program Agreement and API Terms of Use.

Information we collect

When you install and use OrderBoost, we collect the following information:

• Store information: Your Shopify store name, URL, and contact email
• Product information: Product titles, prices, and images for creating upsell offers
• Order information: Order details needed to display post-purchase offers and track upsell performance
• Analytics data: Upsell impressions, acceptance rates, and revenue attribution

API access and scopes

OrderBoost only requests the Shopify API access scopes necessary for the app to function. We request access to read product and order information to display upsell offers, and write access to checkout extensions to present post-purchase offers. We do not request access to data that is not essential to providing our service.

Buyer data

When your customers interact with post-purchase upsell offers, we process the following buyer data:

• Order details: Information from the completed checkout to display relevant upsell offers
• Offer interactions: Whether the buyer accepted or declined the upsell offer
• Language preferences: The buyer's language to display offers in their preferred language

Upsell offers are only added to orders when buyers explicitly accept them by clicking the accept button. We do not add any charges without explicit buyer consent.

How we use your information

We use the collected information to:

• Display post-purchase upsell offers to your customers
• Process accepted upsell orders and add products to existing orders
• Provide analytics on upsell performance and revenue generated
• Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries

Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

• With Shopify: As required to operate within the Shopify platform and process orders
• With you, the merchant: All customer data collected through our app is accessible to you in your Shopify admin and through our analytics dashboard
• Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

Data security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data transmission is encrypted using TLS/SSL (HTTPS). We store data on secure servers and limit access to authorized personnel only. Our app uses Shopify session tokens for authentication.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as you have OrderBoost installed on your store. When you uninstall the app, we delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access and receive a copy of your data
• Request deletion of your data
• Uninstall the app at any time, which will stop all data collection
